Some of the freshest seafood you will find in Charlotte. Very nice place with a good ambience. Not too stuffy, and they go the extra mile with service. It does get busy on the weekends so reservations are suggested, but there's also a very nice bar you can have a drink at while you wait.

So disappointed! We've been going for about 14 years but haven't been to Upstream for a while so we didn't know that it had a new executive chef. The menu has changed drastically and been diminished. The food, although good, was minimalist. My husband and our friend had the scallops - 3(!!) came on the plate, tasted good but cost $28! The Scottish salmon looked like it was barely 3 oz. We had raved to our neighbors about this restaurant and we were sorry that it had changed so radically. We'll wait for a new chef before returning. Fortunately, there are really great restaurants in Charlotte!

We went for Easter Brunch. I would have given this five stars but there was limited breakfast food. They really only had biscuits and gravy. No eggs, no pancakes, nothing of the sort. The seafood was excellent though. I would certainly go back but knowing that it's mainly lunch foods.

A high end restaurant with excellent service and wonderful food. However you will leave this restaurant hungry as the portions served we're extremely small. The smallest serving of salmon I have ever had at a restaurant. The table spoon of mashed potatoes was wonderful in taste however their were gone in three small bits. I had to eat a big snack when I arrived home. I am not a big eater. The taste of the food was simply awesome. The portions need to be increased to justify the price.

This was among the best food I have ever had. My wife took me here for my birthday and it absolutely didn't disappoint. You certainly pay for it, but for a big night out, its totally worth it for the food and experience. The server did a great job explaining items and drinks and I'm so glad he persuaded me to order what I did. This place was awesome. We will be back.
