DO NOT EAT THE ROMAINE LETTUCE AT THIS PLACE! I did last Friday night (5-18-2018) and starting Saturday afternoon with moderate diarrhea which became increasingly severe through Sunday. On Sunday afternoon started getting a fever and headache. Sunday night so far has been sleepless as I spent most of it on the toilet and trying to replenish fluids. Here it is Monday morning. I’m very weak and definitely not going to work, but if I feel up to it later I am going to go to the doctor to get tested for E. Coli as I have all the classic “mild”symptoms which are only supposed to last 5 - 10 days while the bacteria lives out its life cycle ravaging your body. I’ll let you all know how that turns out. I wouldn’t pin the symptoms on this place except for the fact that after Friday night I didn’t eat ANYTHING except for a bag of pretzels on the plane back home. I ate later Saturday night after having gone to the grocery store but the diarrhea symptoms had already started before that around noon on Saturday. Sorry Jimmy Vs - whatever I ate there on Friday has made me very sick.

Went for my birthday. Everything was phenomenally delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly and they gave us a free piece of cake for my birthday. Service was wonderful too. Sure it's expensive but most quality steakhouses are. Will definitely be back.

It was well and good staff was great. Super helpful and nice. The food itself was very good one of the better steaks I have had but I can't shake the feeling that I have gotten better for a little bit less. Maybe then I could have had another glass of their tasty German Riesling that I enjoyed.

The passion has left the building. This is the first review I have ever written but, my experience necessitates. I have no problem with paying $200.00 for dinner for two provided the experience is on par. The décor is dated, carpet has a mild odor. The service, while attentive, is uneducated and lacking sufficient training. If one wants white wine at room temperature someone should like in the wine cellar and find a bottle. Food for two should be served together, Pellegrino should not be served is a giant red win glass. I am not expecting white gloves and silver place settings but, I am expecting to feel emotionally and gastronomically satisfied. The food overall was fair. I was left with a hollow feeling that Jimmy V's has waned and no longer provides the same experience. Passion and a desire to provide an exceptional experience is as important as the food and I think this has been lost. The good news is that Raleigh and Cary are growing and there will be plenty of other restaurants which I am sure will embrace this message.

Will not return. Went to Jimmy V’s last night for my birthday. Husband made reservation. I was a bit concerned with reviews I read, but decided to give it a try. We waited awhile then went to bar for drink til seated. Manager came over and apologized for wait and we were given complimentary app. Very nice customer attention. We were seated and ordered dinner. All of us in my party ordered steak. However, 2 steaks were not cooked properly as well as sub-par grade. Waitress not as attentive as she should be. Disappeared in middle of our meal and forgot to bring beer requested without reminder. Better steakhouses for money spent. Nothing special.
