Look, I really like Trudy's as a whole. For me this location is built for volume and just lacks some of the charm of the original. My drinks were okay, the food was fine, service was on point with no one there. It would have been 3 stars, which I just see as average. Bonus star is for the rooftop venue. Nice place to see local artists when the weather allows.

Very disappointed with our visit this time.. The service was lacking.. You shouldn't have to ask for water. The salad and soup came out with our meal!! Our waitress didn't ask if I wanted another beer!! She didn't come check on us when the food came to the table.. I actually felt like she pre-judged us before she walked up to the table.. Food tasted as if it sat a little bit in the expo area a little bit.. The chicken fried chicken was a little crusty!! Thank God for the gravy!! Then as I checked my ticket. Of course the salad I sent back was on it..So I sent it back.. So I took the her word it was taken care of!! Nope I was charged more on my credit card slip.. Talked to a manager she fixed it!! All this in in an hour and a half time frame!! On a Friday night and they where not that busy..

My best friend had her wedding reception here and it was absolutely beautiful. She booked the rooftop which has a private bar, private bathrooms, plenty of covered seating and room for a DJ and dance floor. The could was delicious, the party planners set everything beautifully and we all had an Amazing time!

Been a while since we have been there and there were new menus. Still, very good Tex/Mex and burgers, excellent service (thank you, Van!). Dancing going on in the Patio area, maybe next time we can do that!! Love Trudy's.

The last couple visits to this restaurants we noticed the food is either overly salty or too spicy. Don't take me wrong, we love spicy food but the problem here is that all of it is spicy...the beans are spicy, the meat is spicy and even the rice feels a bit spicy. So it is definitely too much and ruins the experience. Don't think we will be back.
