Tonight my husband, two teenaged sons and I decided to have dinner at Pei Wei in Kingwood, TX and WOW was that a mistake! We received our food except one of my sons and then had to wait an additional 40 minutes for his food which never came! During that time, we had to watch the manager berate the poor young man who was serving the dining room for HER mistakes. She blamed him for the missing food when of course it was her job to give him the food to serve! She looked flustered and was yelling the majority of the time which was unprofessional and unnecessary. This manager either needs better training in managing a kitchen and in people skills or needs to find another profession. After a total of 50 minutes, we cancelled my son’s food order, received a refund and went somewhere else. There was another family there who also experienced the same thing. This was the worst managing I have ever seen and the dining room was not even close to being full! The problem with our experience tonight was the manager NOT the rest of the employees. We will not be going back. So disappointed!

Eh... I always go here thinking I’m going to like it more than I do. I wouldn’t even really call Chinese. It’s like a step above Panda Express, but I always seem to like panda express more even though it’s complete garbage greasy trans fat riddled poison. Panda express is a guilty pleasure. Pei Wei is higher quality but just not that great. Everything tastes the same, it doesn’t really matter what you get. It’s all pretty forgettable. I’ve never once dined in. I always get food to go. I’ve never had a desire to stick around. On the plus side, they have a really awesome fountain drink machine that lets you add flavor shots to whatever soda you’re getting.

I love this place! I try different things now and then but in the picture is sesame chicken with fried rice, with a cup of the won ton soup. Everything here is delicious. The food usually comes out quick. It’s not sparkly clean in here but it’s pretty clean. I have never had a bad experience at this location!

Worst experience ever at a Pei Wei!!! Computers were down. Cash or manual credit card only. Apparently this affected the kitchen also. Food took a long time to come out. Server had no clue where any dish was supposed to go. Food was not tasty. Tables were not bussed. Drink machines were mostly out! AND one of my co-workers mentioned the restaurant "smelled bad". We've decided to not return to this store.

Just not my Asian thing. I mean even Panda Express tastes better. Just my opinion.
