The food tasted good but do remember to ask clearly for what you want. If not the service staff would add whatever they please, especially for seafood. We ordered a mix platter and the staff asked us to pick three without telling us that the price would be different. Prices for seafood were not marked openly.

Ho Yuen Kee on 6236 Fraser Street is the best value Chinese restaurant in the Lower Mainland. It does get busy from time to time and so it is good to make reservations. The staff is punctual and friendly considering how busy it gets and the food is delicious!!!

I love this restaurant, my family comes here often. About the only big critism I have is that they don't know how to make wonton soup and I've eaten wonton soup at many many restaurants in the past. This particular wonton soup is overly salted and the wrappers on the wontons are yellow, not white. The only good thing about the wonton soup here is that they use nice big shrimp inside the wontons. I also love the pineapple sweet and sour pork on steamed rice at this restaurant. And the green pepper and black bean spare rib chow mein is always a favorite.

Super busy around 7pm and we waited about 15mins for a table of 5 (without reservation). Service was fast and food came out quite quickly despite full house. Must get their lobster or crab steamed sticky rice, super delicious but gets pricey depending on how big they are (lobster was 38.99/lb). I recommend getting their congee with oysters and preserved eggs, brisket wonton noodles (dry mix) and steamed milk for dessert!! All the food was delicious and flavorful, and they take credit card!

Very popular Chinese restaurant that serve super value lunch specials on weekdays along with superbly done seafood dishes. Always busy lunch time and dinner. Very popular with visitors from Mainland China.
