We popped in on our last day in Vancouver. We got here a little before opening but they sat us anyway. We had the breakfast sandwich and the pork cheek hash. I had the Sunset Beach to drink. The drink was a perfect brunch cocktail. The breakfast sandwich was perfection. The egg was cooked perfectly, the garlic mayo was a treat. The pork cheek hash was also amazing. The pork was so tender and flavorful. The kimchee was a fun addition. This was a perfect end to a fun trip.

Took my Mum here on her last day in Vancouver hoping for a special meal but unfortunately this place didn’t deliver. Despite the place being quite empty, the server wouldn’t seat us by the window (presumably because it entailed pushing two tables together to seat the 3 of us) and instead plonked us on the closest table of 4 behind the till...great. The food itself was disappointing. Barely warm, fries had been cooked multiple times (not the good triple-cooked kind though), pasta portion was tiny, I mean tiny, and the fish, although generous, didn’t taste much better than frozen battered fish. The desserts were good, but weren’t enough to salvage the slow service and bad main courses. I emailed twice to raise the concerns as I was surprised at our experience based on some previous reviews (although lately a lot of reviews seem to also be disappointing) but I’ve received no response... Would NOT recommend this place, overpriced and unfriendly environment, there’s far nicer places (with better food) on Granville Island.

Stopped by to check out the store. We didn't know it was already closed since we walked in through the restaurant. The lady in charge of the store was upset we were there and said they were closed. She then said the store was only open for customers eating at the restaurant. I asked if she could make an exception, and she replied with a furious look: "we are closed until 5 PM! We then walked away... We were going to buy lots of their products but I guess we'll take our money to a friendlier store...

Came in here, pretty much the only visible minority with 2 kids. Got sat down pretty quickly and food came pretty quickly as well. But that's as far as it got. No refill of water even when the waitress refilled practically every single table around us! Had to demand for it. Not sure if it's because I'm a visible minority...but certainly felt that way. We're visiting from Calgary. Would I come back here again? Nope.

Inedible Canada. Had hoped to treat my Mom to a special Mother's Day lunch. What a huge disappointment. Terrible, slow, disorganized service. Mediocre food. Expensive, poor value. Told there was a two hour wait and yet when asked, they had space at the bar. Nice, friendly bartender who forgot to fill my drink order who realizing his error comped them. But then we waited over 45 minutes for a terrible tasting, tepid clam chowder. Too bad about the restaurant as gift shop is so cute. Eat elsewhere.
