We reached almost at the closing hours and they offered takeout only. For the first time in Canada, Indian recipes were served at the exact spice levels those are expected to be. The menu has different items based on the Hotness (read spice) levels. It always bothered me when someone asked for a mild (hot) Vindaloo curry. But these guys took it to the next level; respect the Restaurateur and the chef. The Mughlai Paratha was way different than what I would eat in Hyderabad (India); no negative points here, they mentioned in details what the item would contain. But the oil content of the item was not so commendable; because we ordered a takeout the item turned out to be a disaster.

First time at this restaurant, ordered the chicken dhansak and butter chicken for takeout. Pretty expensive as it doesn't come with any sides they're all a la carte. Food was overly sweet and mediocre, they used red food dye in my butter chicken (stained my fingers) instead of just relying on the tomato sauce, very strange. Coconut lagoon is my fave Indian restaurant 10× better food than this place, their butter chicken is AMAZING, this is what I get for trying something new😒

One of my favourite Indian places in Ottawa along with Host India. The owner is super nice, and the food is incredible. Everything is fresh and tastes fresh. Their sag paneer is the best I've ever had, and the lamb madras is another must try. Be aware, they grind their own spices fresh, which means that a spicy dish can be extra spicy if they get a particularly potent batch of dry ingredients one day.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but great once you enter. The food is delicious. I can't handle spice, so I appreciate that they offer a few dishes that are mild yet packed with flavour. My husband has ordered spicier menu items and they have all been great too. We moved across town, but still find the drive worth it, as the Indian restaurants in our area don't measure up.

We got in there at lunch time and were impressed by great selection of vegetarian dishes. Everything was testy, especially eggplants (🍆). Deserted was great too, but after tried all meals we just were not able to eat much :) Great place, fair price, highly recommended.
