My lunch visit here on Tuesday was mediocre at best. I’ve been coming here for the past few years and they’ve been great up until they switched managements. The manager (who may also be the owner) was rude, the servers had some sort of attitude towards the customers, and worst of all, they were unapologetic to the fact that they were rude as hell. Food wasn’t bad, but since the selection shrunk, the food can be considered mediocre. Some of the food items, like their curry, was cold. At the end, I don’t recommend this place to anyone who may be willing to spend a bit more money to go to some other buffet place, and still get decent service and decent food.

The service wasn't that good - the server took a really long time to clean the plates from our table and took forever to bring/refill water. The food was your typical Chinese buffet food. The chicken wings were good when they were brought out fresh. My husband liked the chicken balls. The only thing I cared for was the sago dessert, to which I added coconut ice cream to make it awesome. Apparently the price was $7 cheaper than Mandarin so my parents liked that.

Lunch visit. The waitress was great. And that’s about the only nice thing I have to say. Suffice it to say, the comments about food not being refilled are true. The host didn’t seem to happy to have another customer. Hmmm. Food had been sitting out forever. Several plates remained empty throughout the visit. My favourite was the sushi chef who, instead of filling empty sushi plates at his station, was sitting playing with his phone—also throughout the visit. Once again, the table service was friendly and attentive but, in all other regards, you’re better off dining at Dragon Pearl, Mandarin or even the Scarborough Buffet.

Will never come back! People were aggressively getting the food at the buffet, food hardly got refilled, the Beijing Duck cutting station was a mess, the server was super slow and never cares if we are all waiting. Overall was terrible!

This is called Wu's now, not Golden Light anymore. The experience was by and large positive, with enough selection to be filling and enjoyed. As of today, Mondays and Fridays are priced at $9.99 per adult so their prices for lunch are pretty hard to beat. The only complaint I can think of is that they didn't restock some of the dishes after they ran out, like sweet tofu dessert.
