Edit (22 March 2018): I highly, highly recommend people stay away from this place due to both my reasons below and those of everyone else. It seems that in the year since I've been here, the service went from mediocre to awful. I ordered a platter (1 extra side and upsize drink), but after I paid with my card they discovered they were out of large cups. The cashier agreed to give me an extra biscuit (the cheapest thing on the menu) in compensation for the mistake. Then.... it was almost immediately overruled by the manager, because it wasn't equal in price to the drink ($0.60 to upsize vs $0.99 for the biscuit). Management, if it honestly hurts your bottom line to be stingy enough to back out of giving someone something worth $0.39 extra, because of YOUR mistakes, and decide to value your $0.39 more than providing customer service, I don't see why we students should continue to buy here. Original review: Wait times for orders are always very long (>15 minutes) during meal times, unlike neighbouring restaurants. The cashiers are generally nice and will help you in any way they could. However, it seems they're either understaffed or unorganized- the kitchen is bustling and it still takes a while for food to come out. During my previous visit, they lost my order. Though they packed it on the spot when I prompted them after 20 minutes of waiting, they ended up missing my side order of biscuits. There are also no daily deals, or coupons. You open a restaurant where most of your customers have student debt... and you don't hold promotions or accept coupons. This says something about the management, I'm sure.

Horrible, cold and dismissal service. Long wait time during rush hours. This place is a joke. Many of the deals set out by corporate are not available or modified. No daily deals, which broke students are most in search for. Very little seating space. They fry too much chicken per batch and let it sit out for too long = stale and chewy (not crunchy) batter. If you are a student living in residence or near campus, Popeye's at Jane Finch Mall is your best bet.

Very nice staff. Food sometimes takes a while to be ready, and is average quality. I would say comparable to other Popeye's in quality. The price is a little bit more than average.

Pathetic service.. always check your order thoroughly. They always forget something.

Complete joke. Chicken was pink. I asked for new chicken and the worker replied with, "i eat this everyday, it's okay we can both get sick" and did not give me new chicken. Pathetic. Who hires these people? If this Popeyes was not located at York, they would not make any business as their service and cooks are trash.
