Good beer, prices are a bit high for the selection but the taste justifies it. The more impressive was the menu. The grilled cheese duck sandwich was one of the best tasting things I've ever had. It looked small at first too but it was just the right size to fill you up. A perfect portion. The place has a nice terrasse too. Al in all a solid place to hangout in Laval.

Need a good place for a night of drinks with ambience, then Le Balthazar is a good option. Been here maybe twice and I gotta say, not a fan of their homemade beer. But then again that's just me, they have a wide selection of drinks so perhaps my next choice in my next visit will hit the spot.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but this time I have to. I ordered a chocolate fondant and it was over cooked so it was just a burnt chocolate cake. I told the waiter and he agreed there should be chocolate coming from the centre of the cake. He said he would check with the chef and then never said anything else. I was charged for the cake and I told the waiter again if he had checked and he said yes and that he was very sorry about it (the fondant not being a fondant) but still charged me and didn't even offer to bring a new cake. I paid for the cake even though I didn't eat it and even though the water agreed it was not properly done. Won't be coming back.

Service was super slow, waited 30 minutes for a drink. Still a Nice place, band was good. Bonne ambiance le vendredi soir!

Great selection of beers, bierologues could give you good advices and guidance with the beer menu. Food takes hours to be served, service is slow so it's better if you order right after arriving, the music could be too loud to have a conversation, so try to get a table far from the stage.
