EXCELLENT meal. The wine selection was great, and everyone's meals were exquisite. Wonderful variety on the menu, and fun, gourmet takes on things like tater tots. Atmosphere was cozy and dark (in a nice way). Will absolutely return.

Found it online after work and went. 1st let me say how kind and hospitable the wait staff was cause my girlfriend and I were dressed kind of bummy and this is a nice place- plus we came in after 8pm and it closes at 9pm. Our food was amazing. The apps were amazing. Service was great. Sometimes when you come into a place right before they close the food isn't as good as it normally would be but this food was exceptional despite the fact we were the last table sat and not really dressed for the setting. 5 stars 100%

With all these five-star reviews, it pains me to write this one. I had zero positive experience here. We had a reservation, and while the two top across from us sat empty my friend had to sit next to the bathroom. I was about 7 minutes early, and she was about 3 minutes late. Yet we still had to wait 15 minutes after she got there for bread. We weren't drinking, yet my water set empty multiple times waiting to be filled. Instead of ordering entrees we ordered three appetizers and expressed we were hungry and please bring them just whenever they're ready. The salad came quick enough even though they split it in "half" for us, for some reason they gave her a much larger portion. The other two appetizers were not split, and for some reason took forever to come out. The people next to us who sat down after us, and who ordered entrees after us still manage to get their entrees before our remainder appetizers. And if all that wasn't enough, the food wasn't very good. Hell, even the tater tots were mushy. With a restaurant that only has 12 tables, how can everything take so long and be just okay?

We rented the space for a very large event that had upwards of 80 people there. That is definitely about the maximum number that they can handle, but the waitresses, cook, and all the rest of the staff did a fantastic job dealing with such a large crowd in a small space. They were cordial and friendly, and perfectly professional for the entire night. The presentation of the food was excellent, but the food was not as amazing as I thought it should be for the price. That being said, we did have a lot of people pressuring The Kooks, which probably plays into the food. This is a high-quality establishment, with high-quality food, and excellent staff. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional and great dining area.

Good quality price ratio. Overall nice preparation. The bread is really delicious and the desserts too. The appetizers salads not really memorable. Cozy atmosphere.
