We made dinner reservations online and I would recommend doing so. We were seated on the sidewalk despite reservations but the experience was not negative by any means. The staff were equally attentive to guests and made sure that we felt comfortable with the traffic buzzing by. We were served promptly and the menu was quite extensive and lots of options are available. I had a lighter version of one of the dishes and I found it quite satisfying in terms of quantity. The regular quantity is already a lot. The quality of food is good but nothing I would say is memorable. The drink menu is extensive as well and the mojitos are great. The atmosphere is relatively casual and fairly busy with families and adult tables. The cost of drinks and food is pretty average and wasn't anything outrageous. Decent meal in the area after a long day.

Okay the Cuban sandwich was good. In fact it was very good. However the service was horrible. I can make a very good Cuban sandwich at home so if I go out for a Cuban sandwich I want at least decent service. To add insult to injury beware that when you go to Havana 1957 restaurant they do what some but certainly not all Miami restaurants do and Tack on an 18% service charge. They don't tell you that so you might tip more. They do it to get tourists and it's wrong. So Cuban sandwich buyers beware if you're getting yours at Havana 1957!

Great food and ambiance. Mojitos are great. First place I have been where meat cannot be ordered by rare, well done. Waiter said they only had it one way and sure enough it was perfect. The chicken cooked the Cuban style was great. This restaurant is on a street full of other options.

Atmosphere was great and the live band was good as well. The food was decent, however service was horrible! Our waiter took a while to get to us. Our food arrived and he never came back our drinks were empty for most of our dinner. I had to flag him down to get my check. Then the one thing that pissed me off is they added 20% gratuity to the bill. There was only two of us! Seriously what is that? You know your service was terrible and don’t care because they add it to your bill anyhow. I’ll never recommend or go back here.

If you're looking for an authentic Cuban cuisine experience this is the place for you! The food the drinks and the staff are all authentic Cuban! We really enjoyed the cocktails as well... we visited a few of the locations on our trip to South Beach because of the authenticity of this place!
