Once a great destination for tapas and a superior wine menu, now a hollow shell of it's former self. I recently took an out of town client there who was interested in 2 simple things, tapas and good wine. Remembering all my previous experiences, I decided Carmel was the ideal location. I was woefully disappointed in the evening. The food menu had been taken down several notches in variety. While the wine offering was on par with an old Publix. The food itself was still well prepared and the service was exceptional, but the overall was lacking.

Adam runs the house. I have known him for a year at the So. Tampa location. So. Tampa location closed. We have been going to Carmel Kitchen ever Sunday. So this Sunday we had to make a change. We went to the Carrollwood location. The drive from So. Tampa is more than worth it.❤

The menu has many interesting items. Everything we tried was yummy. Service was great. Will definitely be going back to try more items.

Carmel Cafe is a wonderful place for friends to gather and be able to talk without yelling over loud music or conversation. It's a wine bar with a full Liquor Bar and the menu is Awesome with something for everyone. Tonight we gathered with friends had dessert, coffee liqueurs and coffee. The service has always been fantastic and it's just a great experience right in our own backyard.

You order on a tablet so things should be easy and fast. No one came to our table for 20 minutes. Our food that we ordered purselves on the tablet came out before our drinks and didn't taste great. Then the tablet locked so we couldn't pay and had to wait again for a server to finally come over to take our money. I won't be back.
