Excellent fixed feed. They have the power of k-she's dying! I also have a gaseous water, and the antioxidant is filled with hot tea with lemon and ginger. More delicious this restaurant for those who love the earth and their bodies a good choice. A bright, open, friendly, modern, enjoyable and tasty list!!!! I love this place and plan to let them become a regular lunch. I also have to try dinner! What is non-fried. Everything is new, colorful and gorgeous. The taste of the pot is so tasty! In fact, this is a very long time in Chicago that has eaten the best food. Healthy, tasty, enjoyable, energetic, full, fully adapted to different diets and allergies.

I have eaten at this place a few times and always enjoyed the food. That's the only reason it gets 2 stars. Tonight I would give it zero. Recently, I am on a medically prescribed diet for food allergies. I travel to Chicago for work often and stay in a hotel near this restaurant. Tonight i called them to make a take out order and explained my diet, asking if there was a way to just get plain salmon and steamed vegetables. The original server that picked up was nice and tried to help, but when he went to ask the chef, a manager stepped in and continued the phone conversation with me. This woman was rude and condescending, short in her responses and acted like she didn't believe me that I had as many allergies as I listed. I tried very hard to make the order simple, because I know it's a pain in the ass to accommodate, but also? I need to eat! I also realize I made the call 30 min before closing, but my work meetings ran late and that is the time I got back to my hotel. She said they would try to do my order, that they will be locking the doors in 20 minutes, and I better get there within 15 min. I did (being less than a block away) paid and left. When I got back to the hotel room, I found she had given me some vegetables that I had EXPLICITLY told her were high on my allergy list. I am very frustrated at the disrespect and lack of customer service. If you are looking for healthy food that can work with your diet or if you have any allergies at all, GO SOME PLACE ELSE. Whoever was managing this restaurant tonight should consider a career that does not require customer service. Maybe a night janitor position would better suit her demeanor.

The food at true food is tasty and healthy. I like the variety of options they provide. The food is not super decadent but that's because the food is geared more towards healthy, holistic eating. I recommend this place if you are looking for a healthy option, want a bit of variety, and have any dietary restrictions. The interior is quite nice as well. The restaurant itself is not too loud. Service is good. I always leave the restaurant feeling satisfied - full but not "I'm so full I want to unbuckle my pants and sleep." The food is prepared in a way that you can enjoy the flavor of each ingredient rather than just the taste of the seasoning.

True Food is convenient if you’re in the area and really need vegan/vegetarian options. They’re open pretty late and they have some interesting menu items, plus drinks. Personally, I find the prices here unnecessarily steep; does “true food” actually need to cost this much? I’m not sure. To sum up: it’s convenient, has a pleasant atmosphere, and the food tastes fine. Yet, the food/atmosphere aren’t good enough to justify the prices.

The food I've had here has always been good. The Ancient Grains bowl and Curry bowl stand out in my mind. I wish there was more affordable wine for a lunch feel. Beautiful decor.
