I used to come here for years until I moved further away. I still try to come here when I have a chance. There are tables on the balcony that have great view of the canal. Food is consistently excellent here. They have the best grilled octopus that I have ever had. Turkish salad is very good also. All the fish that I tried here is great! Good, fast service too.

Liman is a Brooklyn institution for traveling foodies and locals alike. Had a wonderful experience celebrating a family birthday dinner and everything exceeded my expectation. Our server was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful experience and it was. From appetizers to the main course everything was cooked and presented perfectly and tasted great. The decor complements the restaurant’s amazing chef and the welcoming and professional staff. Liman is located directly on and overlooking the water, a perfect setting for couples and family's alike.

Was at Liman this past weekend. Wow where do I start. It had taken quite long time to get seated even though they had half of the tables completely unoccupied and clean. Restaurant hostess really was not helpful. Anyway got our order in. After some time everything arrived. I had ordered a whiskey neat. It arrived in a filthy dirty glass. Had to send it back. I mean cmon lots of light in the place especially around the bar. How can you serve something like that? You would think it would end there nope think again. Once done with the meal. Asked for a check. Decided to use the restroom before leaving. Waiter that was on the floor walked in and on his way out did not wash his hands. Yeah. I don't think I'll be going back there again.

I could eat the grilled octopus here for every meal, every day and I wouldn't get tired of it. I've come from Astoria for both dinner and brunch, and both times everything was so fresh! Our waiter was super helpful and gave us great suggestions for what to order. Besides having delicious food (and sangria!), being right on the water just makes it feel even more special. P.S. Don't leave without having the kunefe! Your taste buds will thank you.

Great Mediterranean restaurant! The service here is very good, they were able to get us (a party of eight) a table even though we did not have a reservation. I would however recommend making a reservation, especially if you want to sit in the back area of the restaurant overlooking the bay. The food is on the expensive side; I would say that it is a little pricier than comparable restaurants I've been to. That being said, the portions are definitely generous here and designed to be shared so that makes up somewhat for the price. I had the grilled octopus which was very tender and delicious, as well as chilean sea bass which had a nice crust on it. I also tried a family member's St. Peter's fish, and that was great as well. I surprisingly liked that more than the sea bass.
