Accommodated our last minute reservation. Fast and professional service but could be a bit more warm and friendly. Lobster bisque was good but had lemon in it unexpectedly, my bf is allergic. Salmon was cooked well but had ZERO flavor. Veal was cooked well but also lacked flavor.

Excellent food, service, atmosphere and value. Our server was very nice and the speed at which our meals were brought out was perfect. I don’t know why it took me so long to try this place as a south brooklyn native but I will be back. We had oysters on the half shell, mini pizza, daily special which was local founder stuffed with crab and then tiramisu for dessert. All was excellent.

Very romantic setting. We sat by the window overlooking the Bay. Swans were swimming in the cold water. Very impressive. Waiter was excellent. Very attentive. Food was great, good portion and very filling. I recommend l Fornetto highly.

Last year we went here for their Thanksgiving Day Dinner special and they were out of squash soup, but everything else was very good so we decided to go back this year. When we got there, we ran into a family we knew as they were leaving and they said "If you were thinking of getting apple strudel for dessert, you're out of luck they ran out." When we got inside and told them we had a reservation, they informed us they ran out of TURKEY! They weren't apologetic and made no gesture what so ever to make good on that. Mind you, our reservation was at 6:00, normal dinner hour, not like it was 9pm. The host flippantly said "well we couldn't anticipate how much turkey to get." Then what is the point in taking reservations? Naturally we weren't going to stay if they didn't have Turkey on Thanksgiving. So we made a couple of phone calls, left and went somewhere else and had a delicious and less expensive Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Needless to say, we will not return here for a holiday dinner as they are too cheap and don't buy enough food.

As you walk in you're immediately greeted by the host, the place is perfect for a romantic date and also for a casual meal. The view of the bay from our table was very, very nice. Our waiter was very friendly and recommended us the truffle pizza, which was delicious! The house pinot grigio was good, and their flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was excellent. The reason to give 4 stars was the size of the pizza, a bit small. Other than that, great experience.
