Went to this place for lunch and was not disappointed. The gem salad was amazing! The service was excellent. And you can’t leave without trying the cookie basket. Highly recommend Upland for simple food done exceptionally well. Will definitely be back!

Only half hour wait for walk in at weekday peak dinner rush. Food was very fresh and tasty. A lot of classic options for the unadventurous. Great wine selection. Beautiful space and attentive service. We left very full and happy. I prefer more inventive desserts, but what we ordered was still very well made and tasted amazing.

I went here based on a colleague’s recommendation, but was disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good “feel”. Service was great. The main let-down however was the food. While the starters were okay, my main (lamb shoulder) was over cooked to the point of being burnt. Big disappointment for a restaurant with such a good reputation. I suspect there is some complacency developing back of house. You can do much better in restaurant choice in NYC.

Loved the hostess! She was fun, and knew her stuff. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We had pizza, which was just fine. There were lots of other choices on the menu. I just felt like the waiter was a little in a hurry, and it was a bit loud to really hold a conversation, since it was so packed. But again everyone was having fun!

Make a reservation ahead of time! Great restaurant for literally everybody. You can bring a date here as well as your parents and everyone will leave satisfied. The food is versatile and kind of a play on American and Italian food. The fish is delicious as is the artichoke entree.
