Food was reasonably priced for the quality and I enjoyed it. Employees were underwhelming. Female bartender had an edge to her. Customer was complaining about not getting service on the patio and she didn't seem to care, in fact said "whatever" after he walked away. She was just not professional. I said thanks at the front door when I left and they said nothing as I walked out. Just not all that friendly. Culture just not that great. Too many Mexican restaurants in the world to not have great or even decent service.

As I try more Mexican restaurants around Charlotte I realized I had to edit this review to be even more complimentary! Too many Mexican and Tex-Mex places in Charlotte are just so lacking: bland, no flavor, no personality, and overpriced. In contrast - Cabo's is absolutely great! Here are the reasons: 1. THE FOOD! OMG! Not only do they have Mexican classics like enchiladas, burritos, and tacos; they have cuisine from around Latin and South America. Whether you are feeling really safe or more adventurous, they will have something for you and it will be hot, fresh, and flavorful. Plus they have free homemade chips and salsa which too many places don't even offer anymore! 2. Atmosphere is always loud and fun - this place is ALWAYS busy with a great buzz and it includes everyone from huge groups of friends, families with little kids and grandparents celebrating a birthday, and couples on a date. The decor is warm and inviting. They often have a live singer who sings in Spanish and then mixes in covers of '80s songs in English, and he's pretty good! 3. They have such a fun selection of margaritas and other drinks here - they are not afraid to be kitschy and over-the-top. This is not a place to order a flight of tiny overpriced sips of tequila or something like that - this is a place where you get a fishbowl sized mixed drink and settle in to have a good time. If you are really a hipster, you need 100% authentic Mexican food, and you eschew suburban casual places, you will probably not like Cabo's, and that's fine. To me, I have no idea if it's authentic or not but it is a great place to eat with great food and that's all that matters.

Fast. Good. Cheap. The three legs of the restaurant table that are rarely all met, but here they are. The reason I didn't give give stars is that my wife wasn't as impressed with the food and I had to flag down the server myself to get the bill (he could have been more attentive). Overall it was a solid experience though.

Good selection of Mexican and other hispanic-style food. Competent staff if you want to add or omit something. Drink specials, excellent Tequila choices, live music on weekends. A fun time.

It’s okay at best... they weren’t very friendly... my waiter didn’t even ask what I wanted to drink he just looked at me and I had to figure out what he was thinking... he never even smiled at all... I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it was okay at best but when I lifted it up it was really heavy and greasy... I took a picture but don’t know how to upload it here... also the contents of the quesadilla went to the bottom of the tortilla.... just over all greasy and not good... I usually like this place but not today...
