Its Saturday night and I wanted to find somewhere to grab a drink and some food. I googled places that are open late around Holden rd and W.Gate City Smokey bones popped up it said online that they closed at 2am so I decided to go since I was already on the same street I walked in at 1:25am door wide open just for a drink and an appetizer the host acted as if she was cleaning up and kept me and my friend standing there for a good ten mins before even acknowledging that we were there. There was also two severs standing near that heard and seen us come in one had her purse in her hand as soon as the host decided to finally greet us and actually do her job the girl holding the purse in the kitchen area rings a bell and yells last call so the host goes I’m sorry we closed .. If you stop severing at 130am then online it should say that and not 2am mind you it was only two customers that were seated together looked as if they had just got done eating my guess is that they was trying to get out at 2am or earlier instead of “closing” at 2 but I am a paying customer I don’t mind tipping and if is says something online it should be honored that was very rude and poor service I’m sorry

Usually enjoy it here. Not tonight. Waitress was good but disappointed with the rest. Out of brisket that I wanted, ordered glass and 1/2 wine and when we got the wine in a champagne glass we were told they were out of wine glasses, but the kicker was that my husband ordered the 1 lb pork chop (which is why we went) and when our meals arrived he had pulled pork. Then was told it would be 15 minutes wait for pork chop but since everyone else had their meals he declined and ended up with the pulled pork. When the check came, even though it was not what he ordered, he was still charged for the meal. I think we may wait quite some time before going back.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoy grabbing a few drinks or even dinner here. The bartender knows us by name and always has our preferred drinks ready by the time we get situated. The food is always fast and hot!

Gave this restaurant 1 star only because I had to in order to post a review! Ribs were by far the worst I have ever eaten in about 10 U.S. states. So dry they crumbled apart like Bleu Cheese! Waitress was borderline rude and inattentive at best. Ultimately took 45 minutes to get a plate of “gourmet” macaroni after the ribs were sent back. It was boxed Mac and cheese with a cut up sausage lying on top—$14! Manager was told about the issues and we were never offered any financial compensation. Spent $60 on Mac-n-cheese, chicken sandwich, and a salad. Will never go back and will dissuade everyone I know to avoid this place like the influenza virus!
