The DW Chicken Stack (I ordered with chicken breast instead of chicken thighs) is one of the top 10 most delicious meals I have enjoyed in the last year. The meal is rich and hearty and so pleasing to the taste buds. Our waitress was very friendly and explained menu items beautifully. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for an amazing meal.

Started off with fried green tomatoes then the DW Chicken Stack (a huge chicken thigh resting on a large serving of mashed potatoes). All was very good and we had great service. It was a bit pricey but I will return when in the area again!

We had an awful experience next door at the Village Grill so we went to Driftwood Southern Kitchen instead. Told them what happened and set up a table for our large group quickly. We had amazing food and amazing service. Mimi was FANTASTIC! Absolute best service!

What a fantastic find! We sort of stumbled across Driftwood and Lafayette Village and are in love with it! The food menu is fantastic and the bar has some fabulous specialty cocktails (their â€œReally Dark and Stormyâ€ is amazing). They had no problem accommodating gluten free requests where reasonable. We will definitely be going back!

Step away from the Cracker Barrel Chicken Fried Chicken once and for all. You have found Driftwood. If you're from the South, you know and love gravy-smothered Chicken Fried Chicken. It's a classic and soul nourishing. But after eating Driftwood's version, everything else will taste like melted white crayons over a rubber cat toy. Yes, it's THAT good. Driftwood redefined that meal for me. Driftwood is so much more than their Country Fried Chicken. Although it's so hard to deviate from! Everything about Driftwood is excellent. Excellent food. (Shrimp and Grits are so good they'll make the Gulf-Shrimpers and Louisiana-Corn farmers proud, and the Mac&Cheese is everything it should be). Excellent niceties like a little bag of pork rinds when you sit down. Excellent atmosphere for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. North Carolina, although technically in the south, is practically the north when you are from the Deep South. But if you want a taste of southern cooking, Driftwood is the place. Price talk: Portions match the price. Think a good sit-down meal that won't destroy your hopes for retirement. Tip: Don't forget to take a picture with the cow before you leave.
