This is a pretty solid version of comfort food in Portland. With everything from hush puppies to vegetarian biscuits and gravy, you can get a solid meal and a solid cocktail in this casual establishment. The biscuits were a little dry, but the mushroom gravy was good enough to make up. Charming staff, reasonable prices and great hot sauces! Also, get their Bloody Mary as a Bloody Maria, substituting tequila for vodka. It’s AMAZING.

Stopped by for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. Seriously delicious food! Best hush puppies I've ever had with the most amazing dipping sauce. The lemonade was real and you could tell it was fresh, very thirst quenching. The cornbread was phenomenal and the portions were huge. We definitely took leftovers home and ate them a few hours later. Everything we had was just great. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back.

Warm, cozy brickwork and timber interior, very welcoming service with awesome aural scene. Yet the best part is the BBQ or smoked meats. A personal side of wings was ravished by companions seeking dessert, revealing the mouth-watering nature of this Louisianan cuisine. Book ahead if possible! Take out available! This dine-in made my weekend complete.

Went with the family and was happy to see meals for kids. I had the jambalaya. It was huge with a lot of shrimp and the sausage was great. The wife and daughter had the baby back ribs and spare ribs. They were cooked perfect and the BBQ sauce was on point. Nice smokey flavor. The cornbread was the bomb. Super tall and moist with a nice crunchy outside. Mac and cheese was good. Smashed red potatoes were great. The service was nice, friendly and relaxed just like the whole place. We will definitely be back next time we are in Portland.

Great food and service so long as you don't have a party larger than 4 on a Friday night. Their wait times are expected (45min - 1hr) but their hostess could use a refresher on proper seating arrangements for large parties vs parties of 2. They seated a party before us that came in after us instead of waiting another 10 minutes for the adjacent party to leave, resulting in our group being split across two different tables. After the couple between us noticed what was up, they offered to switch seats so we could all sit together. The server ended up making up for the 1hr 45 min wait time and overall was great. Otherwise great spot for great food and stiff drinks.
