Always went here in college for concerts, and a super fun venue for it. After shows the concert area turns into a dance club. The food and bar service upstairs is amazing. Great food and good value. Lots of cool little nooks to hangout with a small group and get cozy, whether inside or outside by the fire.

Love this place for concerts! It has a close and intimate vibe to it while also being sleek and modern. They make excellent drinks at the bars (upstairs and downstairs!) And in case you had one too many to drive they have a hotel/motel with great rooms and customer service!

I love Doug Fir. This is my favorite music venue in Portland. The downstairs is super cool and intimate. They have created the feel of faux wood logs with fabric on the walls and mirrors at the top of the walls to make the room feel bigger. The sound is also great and they get some pretty decently well-known bands. The upstairs is a really cool space too. Definitely a low-key, chill environment with a nice outdoor patio out back. Overall, the food and drinks are pretty decent as well, but for sure go for the music. It's a really cool music venue.

Came into town late. Was recommended this place. Not from the US my full UK driving licence not good enough. Attitude from guy on the door too. Also I'm 37 so didn't look like a youngster. No issue with my licence in Chicago, Dallas, Austin, LA.

Bar upstairs and downstairs. Nice bartenders and great prices. Plentiful bathrooms. Awesome venue. My only complaint is I didn't realize there's a hotel till it was too late to cancel my Airbnb!
