While the food used to be amazingly delicious, my last visit was not very good. The servers are super nice which makes things enjoyable but it sadly doesn't make up for the meal. This time, my roast beef was just a sad slice of thin, dry, tough beef . My husbands chicken fried steak wasn't much better. The dumplings also seemed lacking something. Not how I remember it being at all. Their portions have drastically been cut down and it shows. I seriously would have had to order 3 dinners to make a decent dish of food. Sent it back and the waitress brought back a bit more with gravy on top. She apologized and tried her best but it just didn't get better. For what we paid, I don't think I'll be going back here any time soon.

The food is ok, the servers are good and always checking on customers. The manager came around to check on everyone as well. My favorite part about Cracker Barrel is definitely the store! The items for sale are unique and make great gifts! They have a good variety of toys and candy as well. All in all it wasn't a bad visit. It allows someone who wants breakfast and another who wants lunch/dinner to eat together.

Mediocre food all around. The chicken fried steak looked like a bigger version of something that one might find in the freezer section of your local grocery store. The Mac N Cheese was treated the same as were the French fries, nothing special that you couldn't make yourself. The fried okra was chewy and disgusting, I sent it back. I guess the food would be good if you don't want to cook. Otherwise just save your money. The silverware was gross looking as well. Oh I had the Sunday special which said hand battered chicken. It was good but the chicken still had too much oil in the meat itself like it did not sit long enough after it came out of the grease. There was no food served that would make me crave anything from there. The service was decent and the theme was cool.

Cracked Barrel laid back atmosphere with home cooking hit the spot. Chicken fried steak was tender with creamy mashed potatoes and green beans. Store unique gifts and decorative items reasonably priced. Will go back soon to check out the rocking chairs on the patio.

We had an excellent server! The drink order was taken and the drinks were served in less than five minutes. The food order was taken at that time and she returned in ten minutes with hot well prepared food. Thanks Lee for the excellent dining experience.
