Being from Memphis many places coin the term “Memphis-Style BBQ” , but after visiting this place truly embodies BBQ the way it’s cooked in my Hometown. The service was perfect with a smile, pricing was great, and the green beans with smoked chicken was #TD4 (to-die-for). Finally found a BBQ spot that I’ll frequent in the area.

Always good brisket. This day we had visitors in from out of town. They had heard of Pecan Lodge on TV. So we got some and did a side by side taste test. They picked BBS hands down! Locals know it. The chicken we got was dried out though, it was more like jerky. Total bummer in comparison. Shak beans rocked as usual, never the usual baked can beans you get every where else. Only other downside, the chick working the register Wednesday had total attitude. Guess she wasn't feeling the customer service vibe, glad I wasn't eating there.

Food is amazing. Everything is seasoned good, none of the meat was dry. Good size portions and even though it was a little busy when we were there we still receive our food in a timely manner. Absolutely no complaints. Oh and we cannot forget the lemonade! Glad we came across this little spot.

I visited this place is it's a bit pricey but most barbecue places are. I initially got the chopped beef plate with two sides and the rib plate with two sides both of which had green beans and baked beans. Then I looked at the menu and thought why not try the smoked turkey leg as well. Smoked turkey leg was perfection just falls off the bone. The ribs were delicious and meaty.
