The food was delicious. It came out very hot and fresh. The waitress not so good, she only checked on us and wants. We had to flag her down to get refills on drinks, we never got refills on the salsa or chips. She left her area and was standing at the front laughing and talking most of the time. Poor service but great food.

Really good service , servers very attentive and polite. Food was ok, I ordered the combo chicken and beef fajitas. Chicken was moist but lacked flavor, beef was not what I expected, a bit chewy. Overall good value for the price.

I have taken several people to eat here, especially in the last 3 years since I work near here. Have introduced people to El Fenix in Mesquite since several had no idea it was here. I love the candy that they sell at the registers and once in a while I stop by to pick up just the candy. I eat here 2/3 times a month by the way. But tonight I decided to send my husband in to buy the candy for me. He was greeted by the snobby cashier (Melissa). Who with her stank face decided JUST buying candy was beneath her...this is not the first time she has behaved this way- rude and standoffish. I have several times ignored her behavior but not anymore. I will no longer be returning to eat at El Fenix and will let everyone know not to come here either.

Best enchiladas plates ever. Best queso! The best margaritas in town. Great atmosphere. Fast, curtious service. Good prices. Love this place. My favorite restaurant.

El Fenix is one of our favorite local Tex Mex restaurants by far. We visit several times a month and it is always very good, the wait staff is excellent [always the same personnel by the way] and everything is just on point. If you are visiting from out of town and looking for a good Tex Mex experience, this is a wonderful choice.
