Best seafood I've had since I've been in Virginia by way of Louisiana. I stopped here while out visiting a client in Suffolk. The hidden location on the water is very intimate and desirable; although, I wasn't a fan of the bugs, they were to be expected and the restaurant had a fan and a mosquito trap machine to alleviate the nuisance. I ordered the seafood combo and it was delivered within 10 minutes piping hot and delicious! The shrimp weren't over breaded and in the 16-20 count size. The fish wasn't over breaded either and was well seasoned. The hush puppies nearly changed my life especially being that I've never had one that I've like before today. I'd definitely recommend going the service was great, the food came out fast and was great and prices were decent.

Service as well as the food was outstanding!! The soft shell crabs were very fat, full of flavor & cooked to perfection! ! Fulfilled the craving for soft shell crabs. Will definitely return & recommend restaurant.

The food was ok, I wouldn't rate it poor-fair, but it was not good enough for me to return. I did not care for the decor, the restaurant and decor seemed a bit dated, however that may have been on purpose (some folks like shabby chic). I do not think I would return, but it wasn't a bad place, just not spectacular.

The view was great. One of the few places to see the sun set over water on the east here in Hampton Roads. We had the hot crab dip.very good..the ribeye with jumbo shrimp...ok ....they didn't trim the fat on the steak though...and finally blackened beef tenderloin stuffed with crabmeat and a bearnaise sauce...very good. Overall good experience.

Where to start... slow staff, at least our waiter was... slow on the greeting, slow on the appetizer(it was starting to crust over, yet, was actually pretty good), had to prompt to order main entrée. The food that we did manage to get was not bad... 1.5 hours, and to finish it all off, my steak, supposed to be medium, came out just shy of mooing... (they offered to cook it some more, but... I wasn't in the mood to wait for how long, and whether or not a health violation was going to occur.) The plate was barely warm, the soft butter, sorta melted into the sweet potatoe... but, not really... forget the brown sugar melting, asked to speak with a manager, the manager when 'cornered', informed me he told the waiter(who was slow, and forgetful... drinks that are empty, should be removed, and maybe, just maybe refilled?) to handle it... I was brought up with common courtesy, he could have at least stopped by and offered and apology... NOT... I apologize for any misspellings... but, on Valetine's Day... we 'men' try to make up for all the crap we put our women through.... and any restaurant that is expecting to be busy... should have additional wait staff on hand... We showed up early, when the place was half empty... thinking to get a jump on things... but, we saw people who showed up after us getting their food first.... so waiter... yup you failed... cook staff, you failed, coldish food, not cooked correctly... manager, failed... where's your people skills.... Maybe it was just a bad night, Valentine's Day... go figure... I have eaten here before(remembered good food), but this was the last straw... the manager could have salvaged the night, with a heart felt apology... but... there are plenty of other places to go, who may treat their customers with some courtesy... You all take care, and thanks for reading Scott
