Ordered food to-go and I am sad to say after a lengthy wait that it was cold. The good news is that the taste was good and the portions and amount of sauces provided were great. Would I order again, yes because I know the order that preceded mine messed it up for everyone, and exceeded $300 which is probably not the norm. Overall the staff at the restaurant were attentive, offering sodas while we waited, even though the wait exceeded what the website said when I placed the order, but I am still willing to give them another try.

The sushi was better than I expected and the bartender was very attentive and kind. We had the fried green beans as an appetizer and the sauce they came with was fantastic, too. I had to take a star off because the bartender told me that their house bourbon was Valentine's but the drink tasted a little off and I found out it was Evan Williams when the check came (my least favorite).

The reason this place has been featured on national television, is because it is remarkable. If you are going here expecting fast food style service, you need to go McDonalds. They take the time to make everything to order and to perfection. Come here when you have time to enjoy the whole experience. The service is outstanding. We always order the bubble bread and enjoy it while waiting for our entree. This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Virginia Beach. If you are leaving less than 4 stars because you're complaining about the wait, you really are clueless about fine dining and authentic cuisine.

So many things are wrong with this place. They half pour all wines (including sake) and charge the price of the entire bottle for a full glass. They also used a rancid-tasting ground fish (primarily consisting of salmon) in my spicy tuna roll, which immediately made my stomach turn. Our waitress handled the issue well, however my husband and I will never being doing business at this establishment again.

The food was hot and delicious. The atmosphere was great. Our server, Rasean, was very attentive and friendly. He answered all of our questions. We will definitely be back.
