I called in ordered a 1/2 a dozen biscuits with a side order of gravy to go. When I arrived I went to the register and paid for my order. I walked around the store for a little while looking at all of the wonderful little trinkets and gadgets they have. It was then I looked at the receipt and noticed they did not have gravy on it, So, I went up to the register and talked to the lady about it just as the young man was coming out with my order. I immediately told him that my order was not complete before he even had a chance to open the bag. To my embarrassment, He showed me what was in the bag. Gravy! And he had also thrown in plenty of jelly and butter. I apologized profusely and left the store as quickly as possible. Kudos to this young man for his wonderful attitude. I will give him a big tip the next time I see him.

A great example of how food should taste. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has a great selection of southern style food. Even has low calorie options for people who are watching their wallet and waist line. Food comes out nice and hot. I enjoy looking at all of the old time decorations on the walls too.

I have always enjoyed the food here. However I went this past Tuesday for the Corned Beef and cabbage special . The meat was good but the barely cooked vegetables , a big hunk of cabbage, 4 huge whole carrots and 2 and a half small red potatoes needed to cook longer. One carrot that I left I could not cut it with a knife and the half of potato were basically raw. I have never had food like this at this restaurant and hope I don't run into it again. The server was fairly new but good. Cook needs lessons on how to cook vegetables better.

Food was decent. I've had better at other cracker barrel establishments. Cashier sealed the deal at rating this particular one a 3 however. When cashier Anne sees customer standing in line, instead of standing around talking perhaps you she should offer to assist. And make it known that she is open and ready to serve customers. Wait staff was excellent!

The food was awesome and our server Michael W. was beyond outstanding. He made me and my family feel right at home. We will definitely come back soon.
