Great Place to eat. We have been coming here for many years and have to drive for 2 hours but it is worth the trip. Absolutely love the food. They have items that you can't get at any other Mexican restaurant. Have never been disappointed with the food or service. Simply love the atmosphere and all the colorful lights. It is definitely our favourite Mexican restaurant.

None of the food was fresh. We could hear them microwaving our food. Upon entering the restaurant there was a strong perfume smell that was very off putting. The server was nice to us, but not other patrons. Save your money and hit Taco Bell, the food is better there! The only positive review I would give La Casita was that the beans were very good.

I have been coming here for nearly 15 years and the food just keeps getting better. Service is fantastic (Edgar is awesome!) and the prices are very reasonable. There is something about this place that feels authentic and old world at the same time - you absolutely can't beat it in Richmond!

I've been coming here for a long time (and have a big bottle of their white sauce in my refrigerator right now), but today's experience was a downer. I love the white sauce and asked for a little more to put on my food. I was told I'd have to pay for it. Sure, the menu says "4 oz. sauce: $1.00", but (as I told the owner), I don't recall being charged for a refill on previous visits. Maybe I was and didn't notice. Most Mexican restaurants will give you more salsa (or one complementary refill if you buy food), so being charged for the first refill was an unwelcome surprise. I've liked this place since the 1980s, but I really like being treated like a valued customer, too. It's certainly their prerogative to do it, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope the revenue from salsa sales exceeds its cost in customer goodwill.

This is definitely a good Mexican restaurant, the food is excellent but don't plan on taking a large party in there especially not a bunch of children as they cannot accommodate high chairs or have a lot of offerings for children's food. This is much more of a small hole in the wall date night place than anything. Love all the lighting and decor. Wish they would add more offerings to the drink menu.
