First the positives: I love the neighborhood feel to the place. The owner and staff are very friendly and I love the whole “family atmosphere.” FS is one of my daughter’s favorite restaurants, so it was no surprise she wanted to go there for her birthday. We had to do a to go order, which we’ve done in the past, because it was a weeknight. Our order was ready when I arrived. We both LOVE the chicken wings. My daughter really likes the Mac & cheese, and I always get greens and yams. The chicken wings were on point as usual! But the sides were seriously lacking. The greens were bland, the cornbread was dry. My daughter said her Mac & cheese was “off.”’ And the yams has way too much nutmeg and wasn’t sweet enough to be considered “candied” I’m leaving this review just simply as constructive feedback. Not sure if something has changed, but the sides were seriously lacking in comparison to what we had before. No hate! All love!

Great food, great service. Best crab cakes I've had in a long time. The prices are incredibly modest for the quality food. A hidden treasure for sure.

Whitening dinner was good. Collards were tasty. I didn't love the mac n cheese.it was a bit dry. The cornbread was on point. Service was great although my cc was charged twice on error. Music could have been lower. Id definitely go back.

I got the rib plate w/ mac n cheese & greens, my fiance got the blackened seafood platter w/greens & mac n cheese. Hard to find restaurants that fix ribs that literally fall off the bone and are fork tender. Most places overcook ribs and they end up tough. Thus restaurant does ribs right. The seafood platter comes with quite a bit of food and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you're looking for pure comfort food.

OK I just found this place Family Secrets and I must say the food was sooooo good!! I mean besides the fact it a long time for me to get my food it was very busy tho so I get it! I was patient and it was well worth the wait the portions for the sides could be a little bigger tho😊 but great place everyone there was friendly definitely going back😊
