Never disappoint! The food and service is absolutely Amazing. I always get the ribs, slaw, and green beans for over 4 years. Dr. Ken King

We usually stop in at Shames whenever we are in Richmond for a few days. Portions are generous and prices reasonable. Staff is always friendly. The restaurant was clean and well organized, the sides were okay but the barbecue pork was lacking in taste and texture. I would not eat it again. Others who got the ribs and the chicken wings said they were better, so if I were to go back I would try one of those, but don't bother with the pork.

Great food - I'd recommend the Big Dad (pulled pork between 2 slices of texas toast) with a side of their potato salad. I've tried many things here and almost all of it was amazing except their brunswick stew - it tastes like barbecue sauce.
