If there was a way to rate this restaurant 0 stars, I would. My wife and I love mediterranean cuisine, so we decided to try Ephesus. I ordered the Chicken Kebabs, while my wife ordered the "fresh" salmon that evening. I took one bite of my chicken and because the texture of the chicken was absolutely disgusting, I spit it out immediately and notified the waitstaff. The staff offered to remake the dish for me, at that time I had completely lost my appetite. So they took the item off the bill. Then I waited for my wife to finish her salmon, we paid the check and left. However, a few hours later while at home, my wife became violently ill and spent most of the next day on bedrest due to the fish she had at dinner that night. So I called the restaurant to let them know that their food had made my wife violently ill and they not only offered no apology, but explained to me how fresh their food is and then proceeded to hang up on me. I would recommend that everyone stay away from this place unless you want to get sick.

I take all my out of town visitors here and they say it's the best place on Seattle. Better than the Space Needle and other high end restaurants. The building is an old large residence converted to a very warm and homey place. Great wine too.

Flavorful food. Clean flavors. While the service is a little on the slow side, it's not neglectful. Sometimes it just takes a little longer to get your food and the wait pays off. The hummus is good. The beef and lamb kabobs are solid. Portions are good for price. Atmosphere inside is nice.
