The place looks like a dump, but it’s a dump with great food and a lot of history. If you can look past that, the service is friendly & helpful. The food is reasonably priced, very flavorful, and large portions. As you can see from the pictures, order a bowl of seaweed soup and you’ve got enough for 3-4 people. Definitely worth the trip. I’ll be back. I went back April 9, 2018. I ordered sash one crispy duck. It comes with a complementary tea & soup. Very flavorful, I took half home for another meal. Finding nearby parking can be an issue.

Great friendly service! It was my first time here and we bought a combo & a dish all were tasty and the meat was good quality. I loved the egg foo young.

I really hate to write bad reviews but I am being honest about these places I experience. The ambiance was fine, a little old but it is the first Chinese restaurant in Seattle or so that's what the sign stated, I felt reassured by this, I don't know why, but I did. We ordered, fried wonton, can't go wrong with those they were good although I would've have loved the crab ones but still good, they gave us cabbage soup which was pretty darn good as well, a lot of flavor. My husband ordered diet Coke, they only have canned, they give you tea, that tasted like hot water. We ordered our meal, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, I wanted a side of crispy noodles to put on my rice, and green beans in garlic sauce. I will be putting in pictures of before and after, mind you I did force my self to eat cause I won't waste! But the rice had bean sprouts that were tossed in last minute in to the rice and the tiniest little bagged frozen shrimp I'd ever seen, I mean we're right by the ocean people! There were no veggies nothing! The orange chicken wasn't on the menu but they said they can make it no problem! The chicken was in strips and tasted like lemon chicken :( and too over breaded with just so little chicken and it was pretty salty. The string beans were cooked really well and crispy! But again very salty! The staff were very friendly and the place was clean enough. But I would never choose to come here again very disappointed... I had a hotel pizza later.

Tai Tung has been THE place in Seattle's International District for so long, it was tops back when everyone called it Chinatown. I love this place. Try the shrimp or the squid, Chinese style and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic service, but as far as the food goes, it's a far cry from San Fransisco Chinatown food or really any good Chinese/Cantonese restaraunt in California, ESPECIALLY when you factor in the price. The atmosphere was great, as we came in the off hours and got the Bruce Lee booth, but you can't count on getting it, so my review stands. 3 star food, with an extra star for the great service. The garlic shrimp and oyster sauce beef were kinda tasteless, and the rest were all just okay, with the wet beef chow fun being good.
