I had a very stressful situation that came to a very positive solution. I had decided to take advantage of being on holidays in a province that charged less sales tax then my home province. Fortunately for me, Rona was hosting a sale that offered 15% off on my total purchase. This on top of the 6% I was saving on my provincial sales tax equaled to 21% savings for me. I made a very large deck railing purchase and easily saved a total of approx $550.00. Over what I could of spent at home. 6 hours later and back at home I realized that approx $280.00 worth of product was left behind at the store. Fearing the worst, I made a call to Rona and explained my situation. With shift change, I wasn't certain that the outcome would be positive. Al the acting manager on duty was amazing. 3 days of work on his end before it was resolved. He made me feel comfortable the entire time by contacting me daily with a progress report.

I ordered 6 navy blue chairs on line; upon arrival at the store they could not find my order. When they did find the order one chair had rust paint on the seat; one chair had rust paint on the leg; one chair had a dent in the side and all the chairs were dusty and dirty as they were sitting outside. When I asked to speak to a manager in regards to the condition of the chairs, she told the young man to go look for more. No apology, nothing....what has happened to customer service? I left and drove to the Rona on Baseline and found 6 chairs there that were stacked outside, but were in great condition. When I drove back to the Rona on Wye Road to get a refund one of the staff was on the phone informing a customer that they did have 6 navy chairs in stock, so they were just going to sell them as is!!! Unbelievable, I can't imagine trying to sell dirty damaged stock to anyone. Very unprofessional and disorganized.

They had the door we needed in stock, and the staff were quick to help.

Brutal Online Order Support Placed an order for $1000 worth of wood for a project to be delivered from the Wye Rd store. 5 days goes by and no call to set up my delivery. Spend 20 minutes on the phone talking to multiple individuals to find out my order has been scheduled somehow without notifying me? It took 9 days to get delivered 10 km's. I'm not sure why they even bother to offer delivery and online services. Their process is totally disorganized. I rarely shop at Rona and only took advantage of the 15% sale...back to Lowe's where they have a well established online order system!
