Such a helpful hardware/home improvement store...they actually helped us build our house, really. We had a lot of knowledge "holes" the "big HD" (my nickname for Home Depot) came through time & time again. People in electrical, plumbing, and tile & vinyl flooring came through with personal knowledge and helpful hints to get us through some tough times. We purchased all of our window coverings from HD, too, and love them. Not to generalize but we did find it was usually the day crew that was most knowledgeable so be aware if you're asking specific questions about installation. Thank you HD! You're good people!

There was a time when I would have given them a four, not so much any more. It seems to me they aren't so competitive with prices as they used to be. It is necessary to shop around and carefully in order to get the best deal as a customer. I've also been greatly delayed trying to make a customized product because there doesn't seem to be enough qualified help available.

I have never had a more frustrating customer service experience than I just had in this store. The store seemed to be full of employees, but every single one that I spoke to was either unhelpful or utterly incompetent. Each employee that I spoke to either flatly told me; “I don’t know” or referred me to another employee who either also didn’t know or just never showed up when called on the PA. For example, I asked three separate employees, over a period of more than 25 minutes, about getting a single board cut at the cutting station. Each informed me that, in spite of the store having at least a dozen employees present, only one was certified to use the saw and that employee never showed up after three separate calls over the PA. Finally, I just gave up and, after learning that there was no mechanism for me to submit a formal complaint without waiting again for a prolonged time to see a manager. I will never go into this store, or another Home Depot again. Here’s a hint Home Depot, maybe set up a way within the store for customers to give feedback so that you don’t suck so completely at your job. It would have been less frustrating to shop in a completely empty store because at least then I wouldn’t have had the undue expectation that at least one employee in the store could competently do their job.

I've been going to Home Depot for many years. You find many degrees of helpfulness at different stores. This one stands out as a knowledgeable and helpful place. I believe Home Depot still stands as the department, hardware, and etc... store with the largest inventory over any other. So if you can't find it at a Home Depot or in their catalog, it may not exist.
