Great place for flooring trim and moulding. I have had trouble with staff not following up on orders, including customs orders. I was ready to place an order for hardwood flooring my condo. Everything had been measured and the man I was dealing with called me to save the invoice was ready and to come in place and place. deposit on the work. So I did. The fellow had been transferred to another department and no one new anything about my order. I left and went to Island Flooring. Another young staff lost my custom order for a fireplace. When I went in to follow up the young woman told me it wasn't her problem. She was right. Now it was my problem. Again, I went somewhere else. But if you know what you want and it's quite straightforward, there good. I think the young staff need more training and supervision.

I've used this store twice now for wood refinishing projects that I spent some significant time on and wanted to finish off right. Both times the staff were helpful to point me in the right direction for type of product to use to finish off my project. They have lots of cool stuff for all sorts of projects.

Avoid! Worst customer service I have ever experienced, even one star is too generous. I spent thousands of dollars on interior doors and installation and from the start it was a nightmare. Salesperson did not return calls, errors made on invoice. When the salesperson didn’t even show up when I set up a prearranged time to pay the deposit, I should have walked away but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, I was never even called when my order of 20+ doors had come in, I had to call them! Some of the doors delivered were damaged and hinge portions cut wrong and it took 3+ weeks to get replacement doors. Installation took forever. There was no system at all and the installer had no idea where any of the doors were suppose to go. Even after I showed him where each door that was being replaced, he replaced closet doors on a closet we were not replacing the doors on. Further, I was never informed that the moldings for 3 closets would be removed and replaced with larger molding. The replaced molding was done poorly with caulking not completed on multiple sides, and the molding uneven. I had to hire another company to repair the molding work done by the finishing store. The staff in the store are miserable and have no interest in helping you. I thought they had a great reputation, but after my experience, I would go anywhere else first. Biggest regret of my entire home renovation was trusting the finishing store.

We are new to Victoria and needed updated flooring for our townhouse. The Finishing Store was recommended to us and the results were excellent! Great product, great customer service, very helpful. Highly recommend them! Don & Christine
