I am a realtor here in Vancouver and I had Woodpecker Floors do my engineered hardwood floors when renovating my condo after a client of mine had used them and had a great experience! They did an amazing job & its the 1st thing people comment on when they come into my home. Everything was done in a professional, on-time manner & I don't hesitate to recommend them to my clients. Thank you to Daren for his patience & assistance in helping me pick the perfect flooring & always being there to assist my clients.

This company recently did the floors in one of the apartments in our building. The stain product they chose was an industrial high fume product. They brought no equipment for proper ventilation. The fumes throughout the building were unbelievably strong. One family had to find different accommodations for the night (on urgent advice of a nurse that lives in the building) and many others had to keep their windows wide open all night (it's january). The person we were dealing with (Daren) attitude was that he chose the best product to give this owner perfect floors and somehow that justified everything. We called the manufacturer of the product he chose (Glitza Stain) and they said this product should NEVER have be used in a multi-unit building, That when used people need to be out of the location for at least 24 hours and that it should only be used with ventilation – (Despite our request for Woodpecker to bring venting fans the next day of work, they could not be bothered). For three days (edit: now 4 days) we propped open windows, fire escapes, gather our personal fans desperate to blow the toxic fumes out. I want to be clear here, this was NOT a minor inconvenient smell, we have had other floors done before we know what it should be like. This was headache inducing, sore throats, coughing, eyes-watering toxic smell. If you care at all about using companies that behave ethically and responsibly, this is not the company for you.

We recently had a Preverco oak floor installed. Daren has a deep expertise and love of hardwood flooring. These are high quality products at very reasonable prices. A minor defect was dealt with personally by Daren within an hour. We felt that we were in good hands.

Co-owner Daren provided very professional and speedy advice on a floor I'd had installed a few months ago. He worked with the contractor to ensure that the floor was installed correctly. At the same time he measured for a future installation. I'm pleased in all regards and highly recommend their service and product.
