I suggest you look for another contractor to help you. A summary of the review below is how Kootenay Flooring measured wrong, hired a poor quality manufacturer and has demonstrated poor customer service.
I had quartz countertops installed. They started out kind and professional. Had a decent quote, not the lowest or the highest and I didn't haggle on the price. I gave them a deposit, they had me fill out a form so they could bill the rest upon completion (I suggest no one does this part).
When they should up to measure that when the professionalism stopped. They used a basic tape measure and were in and out within 2 minutes.Their competition uses lasers to template your kitchen.
Then when it came time to install the countertops they show up with just 2 guys to lift a 500lb counter up a flight of stairs. They expected me to call people, on a weekday to come help. I had to help lift, I figured installation costs would have covered the needed manpower.
Once we got the countertop to the house, they used a small homemade dolly to roll it in. The weight of the counter cracked a tile in my entryway. They also didn't bring anything to protect my wood floor from the wheels. I had to provide cardboard.
Once everything was installed there was a gap between the wall and the counter. They assured me the tile backsplash would cover it (later on I'd find out that's not possible). They charged my visa for the rest that day.
They also left me to remove the plastic that protects the counter along with the glue that held it on. As I was cleaning the counters is when I really starting noticing issues.
The island has damage on one edge, the island has a different size radius on the edge, the edge on the island is not smooth hit feels like it was cut with a chisel.
The small piece to the left of my range has a ⅛†gap for about 6†on an exposed wall.
The gap between the main piece and the wall is just over ½†inch. Thicker than the tile I have for my backsplash.
The sink is sitting about ¾†out of center inside the cabinet
All the overhangs are different, some buy as much as ½â€.  It is especially noticeable on each side of the range where one sticks out more than the other.
When they showed up to look at the issues is when I realized I made a mistake hiring them.
The one guy attempted to use a Mr clean magic eraser to fix the physical damage on the island.
The other one told me the rough feeling edge on the island was just my opinion and they won't fix that.
They did agree to replace the small piece. But that's not a fix at all, it's a cover-up to hide the fact the the overhangs are mismatched because they measured the counter too short. They also offered to buff the damage on the island but that isn't a fix for the edges.
They also tried to pawn me off to the manufacturer of the counter. However I hired and paid Kootenay Flooring not who they choose to make their products.
Now they are completely ignoring all requests for repairs.
I have had several contractors in to look at options to fix them and they have all said repair is not possible. It will have to be remove and replaced. Luckily these contractors are telling their customers to avoid making the same mistake I did.
