This is a friendly neighborhood place. Sometime people come here to buy hardware pieces for their project. Like screws or tape or anchors, athough they have many other bigger gadgets for sale. I was there to find something to attach the modem to the side of my desk. I had my own idea of how it should be done. So i was looking for Velcro tape or a bracket. First a sales associate talked to me about how it could be done but then she said there was someone else who probably would have a better idea. I forget the name of the gentleman but he listened to my problem and then suggested a very simple solution using two sided tape. I thought it was a good idea and walked out with s roll of tape. It was a pleasant experience. While i was there i heard other shoppers asking questions about "How to..." for their projetcs. It is a well stocked store. A good place to look for home project solutons.

I moved to West Vancouver some 6 years ago, and have made regular pilgrimages to Home Depot and Simpsons Home Harware. I love to repair, recycle and reuse things and I am forever looking for the oddest of items. Each and every time I go there, the running joke is to see no matter what I am looking for, is to see if they have it. I am impressed to say after 6 years; probably 50 or so visits, on 3 occasions they did not have if what I was looking for. However, one of the 3 occasions they actually ordered in what I was looking for. That's what real customer service it like! As for pricing, I find many of the things I am looking for are cheaper than than Home Depot. It is also a pleasure dealing with the staff and their interest in whatever project I am working on. Lastly, free parking in the back, great service, selection and most importantly knowledge. They also have a bolt cutter you can borrow if you have kids that lose their bike keys regularly! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
