As a business owner, I struggle with posting reviews like this. Personally I'd not give Derr Flooring (Willow Grove) high marks on 'customer service' in the Sales dept. Honestly, based on recent experience, they fall flat. However, the warehouse guys and delivery drivers Couldn't be nicer. The vibe given: If you do $100k+ a year with them, perhaps the Sales dept. will offer the added attention and take the extra step to accommodate and assist you. As a business owner, IF an account of ours said, "Please close my account, I'll not be purchasing from your company." I'd definitely talk with them, preferably face to face to find out "Why" ... what did we do wrong. A response of "Ok" from any employee within a business, after hearing that, should be Unacceptable. Just another indication how customer service within the ranks of Derr needs "fine tuning".

I found this place to be very unprofessional. I will never do business with them again.

As a 50% owner of a small familey owned Hardwood flooring company (Colonial Flooring) thats been around 30 years Derr is a regular stop as well as city floor. Derr has everything we could ever need for any type of wood floor. Derr does have a limited show room and their customer service is not the greatest. They do have very good price points tho and offer material deliverys for contractors. I frequent city floor just as often, even though they are slightly priceyer. City floor in comparison is familey owned and run and is well know in the industry for their customer service, having very knowledgeable staff, and occasional classes for newer and lesser know flooring methods. City floor also has a massive show room. DERR: -Cheaper. CITY FLOOR: -better and extremely well versed customer service. -Familey owned BOTH: -only businesses in the greater Philadelphia area that can meet the needs of a quality hardwoor flooring company -offer bulk material delivery for contractors -range of products for all types of hardwood flooring including enginered, prefinished, and unfinished. Sanding, instalation, Refinishing, Finish, repair, and dust collection equipment and materials.
