Problems in the passed have been fixed with new sales people, one sales person in particular...

VERY DISAPPOINTING. I perceived everything they did right form the start as an effort to protect themselves and deny any responsibility. They surely were not concerned with the end customer!! They blamed the installer right away. The supplier (DERR FLOORING) stated it was a humidity problem (30% inside when it was -2 outside!!) it should be noted that i have their solid products installed already on the first floor for about 2 years and there was no problem. Supplier told contractor the installation methods and tools were good. After delays and finger pointing from the supplier and NATURE I was told it could be 22 days until someone from NATURE would be there to review. The day I made the decision to get the solid hardwood product and relocate the engineered product to 2 small bedrooms - an effort to not lose my entire investment - NATURE sent a letter claiming poor installation and no responsibility. NO ONE FROM NATURE EVER came to this house. While they now say that they recommended floating their floor, their instructions included NAILING instructions, and GLUING instructions, but nothing on floating. Then rep from NATURE (on a phone call) told me that "after thirty years, some times you can just know what the problem is without ever even looking at it". Awesome, they hire clairvoyants! I got socked with a $140 restocking fee on the unopen portion of the engineered product even though they were quite aware of the problems that began only hours after installation commenced. They advised changes, which I paid for. The floor is now in two small bedrooms, but it waves and feels like I'm walking on hardcoated carpet. I found no fault at all with the contractor. Though he has offered to eat the loss in the labor to initially install, initially remove, reinstall, remove again, and relocate and install a final time, I do not see this as his problem. He has worked for me for many years and done excellent work. Builds some very fine homes all over the state. As I see it, the final customer, NATURE and DERR FLOORING were the culprits in this fiasco. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BUYING THEIR ENGINEERED PRODUCT, and while I love the results of the their solid wood product; based solely on their business practices, their representatives denying any responsibility, claiming it was installed improperly when they were never even at my home, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM.

They use CHEAP material...they use LOW GRADE WOOD and cheat you of your money !! They give terrible customer service and will never fix their errors !!
