Schmidt refinished and restained the hardwood floors throughout our house in the Spring, and while we were pleased with the craftsmanship of the work itself, the sales representative and management team were terrible to work with. Despite what they claim on their website regarding their customer service and truly caring about the customers problems and what the customer thinks, they clearly do not. The "touch-up" work that was required after their laborers were through was drastically more than expected, and they would not own up to that inconvenience is caused. Too much "he-said, she-said" out of the sales rep, and not enough "how can we make this right for the customer". On top of that, the lack of support from the management team proves that their reputation in the industry is not that important to them. Look elsewhere before committing to this company, but if you do, make sure EVERY SINGLE THING the sales reps recommends or expects out of his crew is in writing.

I arrived today to pick up material that was prearranged and not only did not have my order but handled the situation incredibly poor. Not a single person would check a computer or pick up a phone. Instead was told the guy who answers those questions isn't here and don't know when he'll be available. This was not a special order or anything that requires formal education. It would be obvious and easy to find if someone had taken time to look or contacted the person who knew. One of the biggest down falls when a company gets too big is the lack of attention to detail and how they treat the middle/lower size customers.

Worst company I have ever worked for. Respectful and great owners but management is the worst. The employees waste a lot of time in the morning at the gas stations, sit around on the job with many breaks, gets behind schedule of customer because of the lack of work. Managers lie to you and don’t give you a lot of credit or advancement. I was very honest with the company, didn’t waste time but was back stabbed by employees because simply I was making them look bad because I was actually working and they weren’t. The employees skip steps that customers paid extra money for to get home faster. The end work looks great but you are being cheaped out on many things.

I'd be a very disappointed customer if the person sitting in front of my house was supposed to be at a job. Driver has been in his cab since 9:45 am, it is now 1:10 pm.

First off, there are many reasons to initially choose Schmidt Flooring: Knowledgeable, Informative, Competitively Priced, Complete Selection, and more. But the reasons my family continues using Schmidt is the service. Everyone from the sales rep to scheduler to the installers strive for complete customer satisfaction. They meet their schedules and keep you informed at every step whether it be stain color to anything else an Owner would need to know. Our last project with Schmidt (We have used them at on at least 5 occasions over the years) just completed and we could not be more pleased. In fact, one of the installers went out of his way to talk with my wife and tell her how much he enjoyed working for Schmidt. He added that management really works to treat customers with the utmost respect and will do whatever it takes to make sure they are pleased. He stated he is proud to work for a company with those standards. From start to finish - Schmidt Flooring continues to impress, and this project just reinforced that.
