Absolutely terrible experience with flooring dept. Today is12/26. We've been trying to get carpet installed no later than 12/28. We started the process 11/19. For over a week Lowe's didn't know where the measurements were. After several calls, visits to the store, and emails the measurements appeared. Next Lowe's lost the carpet. I was told it was not in stock. I knew it was in stock; I'd had the floor person cut off a remnant for me to send out of town to confirm the nap. After a few more days they confirmed, yes it was in stock. Great! Well no not really. Though Lowe's screwed up every part of the process they say they can't expedite the process any faster. They said, I probably wouldn't even hear from installers to make an appt. before the evening of the deadline I needed it in. Now I have to delay moving furniture out of the pod that came yesterday. I have to reschedule movers that were to unload the pod and risk paying storage charges on the pod. I have to find other accommodations for a family and 2 Rottweiler until the carpet is in. It's been more stressful, more time consuming, more costly than it should have been. They were not proactive. Lowe's did not communicate as they lead customers to believe in writing. A mistake even at my expense... chalk it up to human error. Mistakes at every twist and turn? To me managerial incompetence. This is the Lowe's, 3505 N. Memorial Pkwy, AL 35810 One caveat, they did take our money on time with no screw ups.

Mostly my experiences at Lowe's over the last 24 years have been excellent. I have had a couple of problems. I like their paint department especially. Also if you need work done on your house and they carry the parts such as replacing a hot water heater, you can go in and talk to someone in that department, pick one out, and have them hire a qualified person to install it properly. I have had good luck with doing that sort of thing because they know who to hire at a fair price. I also like their lawn and garden department. It's a very large outside and inside area store altogether and they carry a very wide variety of things including plumbing, kitchen, bathroom, ceiling fans, tools, lawnmowers, it's a fun place to check out. They have a few electric carts at the main door. Customer Service is fair in the general store, Customer Service is great in paint department, and Customer Service is good in lawn and garden.

Always finding bargains @ Lowes. Bought mulch, great price, paid for it in garden center, & just drove to side of building where there were several guys waiting to load it for us. Always great customer service.

Easy in and out if you are coming from the Tennessee side. Lots of folks at the help desk but they trip over themselves trying to help one customer at a time. C'mon seven people to o e customer? Really? But the store is clean and we'll organized and I prefer them to home Depot even though they are more expensive, just gotta watch and do the price match game.
