My experience with Gregory's Carpets in Opelika was not what I expected. As I went in, I needed to talk to the owner about a situation we had discussed before. The front desk lady was very nice and of course she went back to get him for me. I knew he was back there because I heard him talking, but as she came back he didn't follow and she was told to tell me "he isn't here today". Considering this being a professional place that I know a lot of people recommend, I am very surprised of the lack of dishonesty he gives to his customers, he could have simply said he was busy if anything. I will not be going back to this business or recommend them.

We are in the process of building a house and had been given an allowance for tile. I shopped around after getting Gregorys “G” first quoted invoice and found a less expensive price for a particular tile that G ( Kelly) agreed to match . I had asked for a matte finish for our flooring in the showers but Kelly had offered that the polished finish would be fine in the shower because there was more grout work. I agreed that would look nice and she ordered it. But then it occurred to me that it probably is not suitable, so I contacted a Shaw Flooring representative and they said “ the Vision Bianco mosiac tile, SA95300150, is a polished style. As such, it is not slip resistant, and is not suitable for installation as a shower floor. This material is designed to be used as a wall trim or backsplash.” Kelly said well I would have to pay for that ($350?) but she is the sales person and she should know which tiles are appropriate in which locations . I didn’t even know they made a polished mosaic. After meeting with them in their store and sharing again the note from Shaw, Brad said the polished/ matte shower flooring is “ personal preference”. I told him this was for a rental property and he said well if it’s for that then no you probably don’t want polished . But even if it was for us alone why would we want something slippery ? After leaving the store I did not believe we were going to have to pay to return the polished flooring. G then sent ( not to me), but to my builder, the invoice with supposedly the new reduced tile price but the amount actually increased and they refused to explain why . G claimed it was “taxes” but tax would have been figured on the first invoice . And by the way they charge extra to install tile in a shower $150 per shower, vertically versus horizontally . None of the other tile companies I received quotes from charge extra for that .I have tried many many times to get a detail for our invoice . They simply will not provide it . We took part of our Spring Break to go down to AL about the same time Kelly said the tile would be installed . After checking into our house that we rented I contacted Kelly , and she told me they would actually not be installing that week but that it would be another week or so! We left AL the next day. The following week they delivered the tile the same day they provided the final invoice to my builder. I have communicated with Brad G. , Wayne G. and Kelly their sales rep at different times trying to communicate over the course of our purchase. In my experience they have all three been extremely condescending and rank one of the more difficult companies I’ve ever had to deal with . Their customer service is severely lacking . Please do not waste your time with this company . I have heard them say several times how much better their company is than their competition, and how much more sales they have than others. Really? Actions speak much louder than words . Unfortunately it looks like I’m stuck with this company because my builder contracted to use them . If this can be of benefit to you then it has been worth my time . God bless.

Remove carpet and existing wood flooring and replaced with new wood flooring. Rating 1 to 10 on installation, matching existing 9. Rating 1 to 10 on how much cleaning I had to do after they left (furniture, sawdust mixed dust everywhere, glue on door jambs, glue on existing floor some I haven't been able to remove, bath tub and lavatories nasty from where the workers clean their tools and hands glue on lavatory faucets etc) rate 2. Customer service, once I signed the contract and sent money no customer service. Rated 2 . The installation was very good and if you dont mind spending 2+ hours after they leave to clean up their mess and shakey customer service then hire them

I had a good experience with Gregory's carpets. They installed quickly and were professional and the owner even gave me referrals to other professionals which were cost saving.
