I wish that I was able to give 0 stars for this store if it were possible. My brother and I went to the Home Depot located on Montlimar Drive in Mobile, AL to purchase a compressor for our mother. We were treated very rudely by Darlene who works the self check out in the front of the store and by Dan who apparently works in the tool area. Both were very rude and arrogant when we were asking for assistance in locating a compressor. The Home Depot app showed us that there were 3 available. Darlene and Dan acted like it was a hassle to check their inventory for the item in order to verify the availability. Once verified they were in stock, they acted like it was hassle to go and retrieve the item from the back of the store. I recommend that if they are not happy in their profession, then it is time for a change. The customer service industry is definitely not for them. This is the third time that I have been met with rude employees at this location. This will definitely be our last visit.

I was looking for a particular item and had to get help from an employee. I am disabled and can't be on my feet for very long. after going through two and a half aisles I had to stop and rest, (I didn't know it'd be that long) but the assistant offered to and did go get me a motorized shopping cart and the precise location of what I was looking for.

I have called the store 3 times today and still have not been helped. Continually put on hold, transferred, and even hung up on one time. I even spoke with a manager named Drew and he could not help me. Horrible horrible phone etiquette at this location. Please Home Depot find someone to answer your phones that is polite and helpful!! It should not be this difficult to find the record of a purchase made

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It would be better if you could go without having to deal with people panhandling in the parking lot.

Normally this Home Depot is overall pretty decent (though like all Home Depots and Lowe's, stocking is always an issue - there's always that one part you need, but they're either out of stock or have stopped carrying it). However, the way Home Depot on Montlimar handled a return yesterday was so poorly done, so unbelievably unreasonable, it was deplorable. There were two very easy and relatively inexpensive solutions for them that's just a fundamental part of good basic customer service. Yet even though the problem was clearly caused by them, they were absolutely hellbent on either making sure I was left without the tool I needed and that worked best for me, or having me pay a significant chunk of additional money to cover their mistake - which was all caused just because they weren't paying attention to begin with. Though the way it was handled so poorly makes one ponder if they put that product back on the shelf knowing it had key parts missing - because it's hard to believe something that obvious could have been missed when they retaped the bottom of the box. Even though Lowe's is much more convenient, I often made the trek to the Montlimar Home Depot instead, but I have to say this changes all that. So much so, it makes me think I should also return as many of my more recent purchases as possible.
