DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Following is a short summary of dealings with them. Paid for two yurts approximately 8 yrs ago with stipulation I would receive two in the future. 2017 I requested two yurts in June 2018. Owner did nothing but complain how I was now creating a hardship for the company. Owner stated they spent the money and now had to fund from operating capital. They were broke and did not have enough money to just provide the yurts. They had to wait for people to put down payments on yurts before they could fund mine. Kinda like robbing peter to pay Paul. Owner stated how demanding I was because I asked for two yurts 1 year ahead of time, We agreed on a date with stipulation I would receive french doors for waiting until the time they could best afford it Purchased property based on owners assumption they would be able to deliver by agreed upon date. I told them I was purchasing property based on our agreement. Within 6 months of delivery date, I sent many, many, many emails to owner to get to confirm that date. Have received many emails from owner how awful I am, demanding I am, horrible I am for actually wanting the yurts on the date agreed. Finally received Yurts approximately 1 month late, and not complete. Still did not have all the walls. Now two months later I still have not received everything for the yurt despite the owner keep telling me they will send it to me. Each week goes by with the same excuse. Today I was informed items were back ordered. Just like the siding was many months ago. The yurts themselves, the interior insulation panels are not equal length, the lattice work has many black stains on the wood. As told by another Nomad Shelter employee, it is from the company grinding metal with the wood too close. The metal hits the light colored wood and causes black marks that spread out. Again this was from by a person who works there. I paid for lexan windows years ago, a $700 upgrade. Was told they do not use them anymore. I was told to eat the cost and forget about the money. The french doors I found out they do not make anymore so the upgrade for waiting was also gone. In summary, I believe the company is broke and doing everything they can to stay in business. Paying for yurts 8 years ago, then not asking for anything until one year prior to. Then getting nothing but called names and harassed because I was causing them such a hardship. Acknowledging that yes I paid extra for stuff they do not have or do and to just eat the loss, they would not pay me back. Now I sit, still waiting for parts, knowing that as soon as they read this I probably will not get the rest of the order. I simply cannot take they anymore and had to write this review. Additionally I have heard from multiple owners that they did not receive their yurt on time. They were told that it was shipping issues or back order issues. Again I believe the problem is they are broke and taking money from new orders to pay for other orders that are waiting to be completed. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review such as this. But I feel the public simply needs to know the issues going on. Should I be required I can provide all the emails I have received stating delivery dates, as well as all the name calling by the owner for being so demanding. Even going so far as to tell me that it has been so hard for them to carry the money they spent as a debt. When asked why they did not give the money back and pay them when I actually wanted the yurt I was told, "because we needed the money" There is my summary. There is lots more but I believe you get the idea. Don't do business with this company is my suggestion. You may not get your yurt on time, as happened to me, you may not get the entire package, some parts may be missing, as happened to me. Or they may end up going under because they simply do not have the cash to keep going. Last thing to look for. When you read other reviews they have, look how many reviews the poster has made. You may notice something.
