I picked out beautiful vinyl plank flooring and was excited to have it installed. It arrived later than expected, but I could live with that. Andy was sent to do the installation. I thought it was odd the first day when he left for an extended period to get his drill (despite having a large van that could easily hold lots of tools). Progress was very slow, despite him arriving to a mostly prepped floor. The second day I told him I had an errand to run and then I was going to walk my dogs, thinking I might need to give him a key if he was going to leave my house at all. He interrupted, saying, "I'll be here!" I came home to an empty house and unlocked doors. The third day he left to get his saw (?), and was gone for over 2 hours. During that time I decided it wasn't working out. I called Arctic Carpet and said I didn't want him on the project anymore. I was asked to fire him myself, which I did. I was told that they would find someone new to install my flooring. I waited for Arctic Carpet to find an installer, and also contacted contractors on my own. I found someone who said he could help, but the next day he called me to say he couldn't help because Arctic Carpet had returned part of my order. I emailed Caroline right away to find out if this was true and she said that she didn't return it, she had simply canceled it. This was news to me! At this point I knew the project was impossible to complete. Andy had done a very poor job at installing less than one room in 2 1/2 days (there were large gaps around the edges of the room that were irregular, planks had been damaged by whatever he had used to cut them, the layout was poorly planned so there was a narrow strip at the top of the stairs, and he had dripped floor leveler into my heating vent), I didn't have the supplies I needed due to a canceled order, and Arctic Carpet did not follow through with a new installer. I expressed this in an email to Caroline at Arctic Carpet and told her I would be returning the flooring. I paid another company to uninstall the flooring and return it to Arctic Carpet. However, the return was refused. Caroline said that there is a sign at their counter that I should have seen when I paid saying "no returns." I have never been to the counter, as I paid over the phone. Today I received another invoice, including items I never received and work that was never performed. I understand that options in Juneau are limited, but please steer clear of this store!

My husband and I stopped by to check out their garage sale. The owner was super nice. We had a nice chat and if you want upcycled furniture, their daughter really does a great job!

Customer service was awesome, wish I came here first other option in town did not even compare!

Helpful staff ! They are willing to help with ideas or problems. Great carpet and flooring choices! They have a great installer!

We used them to re-carpet our home almost 3 years ago, and they were excellent. Helpful in what we wanted to get (Juneau time tables always skew things for delivery/installation) and helped us understand what/why's of the better pad or carpet as we went. Very happy with the carpet and the installation was excellent as well. Our home had carpet in it from 1978 and I tore it out myself before they showed up to install so that saved both time and money on it. We'll definitely be using them again for bathroom flooring and kitchen flooring as well.
