This Home Depot is just better. - I drive further just to come here. Case in point: Every employee I walked past greeted me with a genuine smile. Fred in plumbing actually came and found me!!! and asked if I needed any help. Not only did he help me figure out my plumbing issue he just genuinely cared about educating me and making sure I got the right stuff. Baylee at the cash register was super helpful and friendly too. (Been here several times today) Just genuine smiles and genuine caring... Whoever is doing the hiring here is doing it right!

I have mixed feelings about this location of Home Depot. I remember how excited I was when they turned the old Kmart lot into Home Depot. The only other one close by is the Kyrene store and it has the worst layout I've ever seen in a Home Depot. A few months ago the service at this location had gotten so bad that I lodged a complaint with corporate. The store manager got back with me quickly and we had a long talk about the rude service (if you could even get service). Since then it has gotten way, way better. That being said I'd now rate the service as adequate and mostly consistent. Yesterday I got the old duck and dodge from an employee that didn't want to be bothered helping someone, it is pathetic that they think we don't know when they do this. I love Home Depot as a whole and the layout at this store is incredible. I can find everything, maybe in part because I've had to find stuff myself, over and over. I wish I could give this store a better rating, it's the one closest to me, it is very well stocked, the layout is intuitive and smart. The problem is I've just walked out disappointed or down right angry by how I was treated too many times. I find myself hoping I won't need help and if I know I will need help; well, then I drive the extra 7 miles to the Country Club store in Mesa.

Needed help with paint. Very helpful. But I guess its not everyday you see a young family walk in. I know when managing a facility your goal is to bring your customers back! No matter the color of your skin!, where you come from!, or how much you have in your bank.! And that not what I got from here. Especially when you have your workers following you in the parking lot after purchase.!

Store looks much cleaner and a little more organized. The employees seem happier. Plants and flowers look good but a little on the expense side.

Its much easier to get someone to help me nowadays than in the past. They need to start promoting thier pro services account. Much like a member card it tracks purchases and receipts. With all the new tech and apps that track when items go on sale can refund you a discount, its now good for everyone to have an account, not just contractors.
