Avi installed hardwood floors for me three times for remodels of two different properties. He is a joy to work with, extremely informed, provides thoughtful informative advice and his work is impeccable. He helped me think through all sorts of implications of flooring decisions (heating, moisture, appliance clearances). Clear about dates and periods required to do the work, responsive to phone and text, and sticks to the planned schedule. Competitive prices. Creates inventive solutions to difficult problems. I will go back to him forever and recommend him to anyone.

Avi and his team have just re-finished a 111 year old floor comprising a mixture of red and white oak 2-1/4" strip flooring and the floor has been transformed. Avi's main guy for this job later told me he was a bit worried about the floor because it was obvious that it had not been maintained in a very, very long time. The first sanding confirmed it was the first time the floor had been touched in 100+ years, it revealed quite a bit of liquid damage. Avi was quite transparent in indicating that replacing more of the wood would make it a more expensive job, but I explained that I would prefer to have the job done properly than to skimp a few dollars and regret it for years. Avi's guys set to and follow my request to do a job they can be proud of. The workmanship is excellent, the attitude of the guys doing the work was friendly and collaborative, we discussed questionable parts of the floor and whether they should be replaced or not. They were very clear on how to take care of the floor and the time frame for letting the coats of sealer and polyurethane set. I could not get over the transformation of this floor, from a harsh, pale grey to a vibrant honey color which makes the whole room glow. The repaired sections have blended in beautifully with the original 111 year old sections, the mixture of red oak, white oak, new strips and old strips, have brought a unique patina to the floor and reflects the house beautifully. I am delighted with the quality of the work, advice offered, the options proposed, and despite all the repairs, a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Avi and his team for a job that deserves to be done well.

I am an architect, and found Avi through a recommendation from a general contractor I work with. I couldn't be happier with the work he and his assistants did at my own house. We had some existing oak floors that were refinished, and new oak flooring was added to the kitchen. Avi's work was exceptional, and I found him to be very professional. He was always very good about showing up on time, sticking to a schedule, and very pleasant to work with. I was very impressed at his ability to control dust from sanding. We added to the scope of work a couple of times once he had started the project, and he was fair about the additional cost. I have work with a variety of people in building trades, and I would say that my experience with Avi was one of the best. I highly recommend him!
