Versatile Building Products

buyer beware! I called this company because I was looking for a DYI epoxy coatings and this company came up. After looking at the website and watching all the videos I felt I could do the job. I went into the showroom and was just put off with all the products. After talking to the sales person I was referred to a company called Alpha Epoxy Coatings. Here is were the problem started I call Alpha Epoxy Coatings and got a hold of a guy named Luke this is a new company but I felt if Versatile is referring him then he must be good. Luke came out and gave me a quote for a 4 car garage for 2200.00 he told me he got his training from Versatile and was Certified. The contractor was not licensed at all and is the are you ready for this "Son of the president of Versatile Building Products" Luke came out last week to do my floor and it never dried. The installer did not mix the epoxy the part B was not added to the product so it will never dry. After calling around this is what I found out Garage Experts of San Diego , Orange County and Los Angeles are no longer around. I have this feeling and that is all it is that Matthew Newman President of Versatile is terminating the 3 local franchise for Garage Experts so that he can give all the calls to his son Alpha Epoxy Coatings. BTW Alpha Epoxy Coatings is not licensed with the state of California NO contractors license and he also had 3 employees working at my home. If you go and look at Alpha Epoxy Coatings and Veratile you will see that same pictures. I am sure this will be deleted because Versatile is a big company. I just want to let people know my personal experience. As you can see the response from Jimmy This is not a fake review at all. Facts: The CEO Matthew Newman, President of Versatile Building Products His Son Luke Newman Alpha Epoxy Coatings You trained Luke Newman an Unlicensed contractor Versatile referred me to Luke All 3 local Garage Experts are now closed (To make room for Luke) Your staff has passed this information to me. The pictures on Alpha Epoxy coatings under Our work is your companies pictures of your showroom not his work at all. I based my decision on using him because you said he was good. You failed to tell me that he is 22 years old and is not licensed and has no real job experience. Oh and last you never told me that he is not a licensed contractor.

I had a bad experience with some of the people here. I got a call from Jimmy and he made it right. My advice is they have the best product on the market I have used several. If you have a customer service issue email or call Jimmy he will make it right for you. If you had a bad experience give them another try it will be worth it for the product you get at the end. Thanks. Jeff

I own a business in NC and recently engaged VBP to expand my service offering. I can't say enough about the these guys- Fernando specifically (he is beyond helpful). Exceptional service and support beyond words even thousands of miles away. So glad I found these guys... don't let the baseless couple of bad reviews misguide you.. that's the 1% of ppl that have not a clue how the world and business ownership works. I can promise you that based on my experience that these guys really do care and do the best they can- which by the way is excellent. What more could you ask for? + superior products. End of story.

I was assisted by the sales staff with product purchase and we prepared the surface and applied the material ourselves. 1800 square feet of interior space took approx. 10 hours for 1 person to complete. Prep time was a couple days as we ground off glue residue that was left after tearing up a glued down carpet. The video was very educational and I am happy with the floor. I had my garage floor done by a commercial company a few years ago and my warehouse floor looks just as nice. The durability is excellent. We are running pallet jacks with heavy loads of paper on them and there isn't any issues.

What a pleasure working with Kristen at Versatile Building Products on my epoxy order. From the moment I first called she helpfully walked me through my order with numerous questions answered that resulted in my feeling that I was ordering the correct products and amounts. In addition, they provide me free shipping (my order being over a certain amount) and even made me aware of a special that saved me additional money. Terrific company!
